Jump Showdown Culling Games
Culling Games is the Jujutsu-flavored world event from the Everything Update: twenty minutes, a random Cursed Technique, a reroll every six minutes, better rolls if you are stacking kills. It sits next to World Events and the broader events hub.
How a Culling Games window works
When the event flag is up, every player receives a technique. It is not a new character on the roster wheel; it is an overlay. You still fight with Unsealed Sorcerer or whoever you loaded, plus a rotating extra. Six minutes later the extra changes. More kills during the window weight the next rotation toward rarer techniques, including domain-type rolls such as Deadly Sentencing and Idle Death Gamble. If you hide in a corner you get the filler kit. If you take fights you get the highlight reel.
That incentive collides with the rest of the combat system. A greedy Awakening dump still loses to a parry. Domain clash windows punish people who treat the event like a deathmatch with no block button. Play it like Jump Showdown, not like an infinite-ability sandbox. Techniques you should recognize
- Idle Death Gamble — high variance, jackpot reward, punishable if you whiff the casino.
- Deadly Sentencing — domain-type, strong in clumps, dangerous if three people stack you.
- Boogie Woogie, Piercing Blood, Fire Arrow, Thin Ice Breaker — the montage staples from the May showcase.
- Cursed Technique Scroll pickups — treat them as items, not as a second moveset slot.
Because techniques rotate, a tier list built only on base kits will lie to you for twenty minutes. Godly Highschooler is still the best published kit; a lucky domain on Greatest Psychic can still delete a stock. Do not buy Early Access because of an event overlay. Buy it only if you want Short Alchemist, as explained on unlocks.
A practical 20-minute plan
- Stay near mid-map so you can take fights without a 30-second jog. See the map.
- Bank two kills early even if they are messy. The next rotation is the real prize.
- Hold Awakening for the technique that actually combos with your kit, not the first bar fill.
- If a domain-type drops, drag the fight off the football field and into ruins or castle walls for wall combos.
- Do not fire PS+ commands if you still want a Cursed Child spawn after the event.
