Jump Showdown PC Controls
PC is the reference layout. Mobile and Xbox emulate it. If a guide says “tap F,” this is the page that tells you what that means on a keyboard. Keep the full chart and the mobile layout nearby if you swap devices.
Default keyboard
| Key | Action | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| WASD | Move | A/D also aim wall runs |
| Left click | M1 x4 | 4th hit is the wall-combo setup |
| F | Block hold / parry tap | Do not spam |
| Q + WASD | Dash | Start has i-frames |
| Space | Jump / wall run | Double-tap + hold beside a wall |
| G | Awakening | Bar must be full |
| 1–4 | Skills | Replaced during Awakening on main roster |
| R | Character special | Often kill-conditioned |
| B | Emote wheel | 50 kills per emote, plus boss drops |
The first hour on PC should be dummy time, not ranked Duels. Walk a 4-hit M1. Add Q on hit four next to the castle wall. That is a wall combo. Then have a friend throw M1s while you tap F — not hold — until the stun actually happens. That is parry. Then take damage on purpose until G lights up and dump Awakening into a dummy, not into a full-HP Godly Highschooler.
A 15-minute PC drill
- 3 minutes: WASD + Q weaving. Front dash in, side dash out. Never dash on cooldown panic.
- 3 minutes: hold-block versus tap-parry. Watch the tell in the corner of the HUD.
- 3 minutes: 4 M1s + Q on the dummy against a wall. If a skill fires instead, you were too far from the wall.
- 3 minutes: ragdoll cancel after a voluntary knockdown. Feel the cooldown so you do not waste it in a real stock.
- 3 minutes: fill Awakening and spend it. Then read the how to play chapter list and watch the dashes section.
Rebound keys are fine. Rebinding parry onto a mouse side button is a common upgrade. Rebinding dash onto shift is fine if Q feels awkward. Do not rebind until you can perform the default drill; otherwise every YouTube tutorial will fight your muscle memory. For console-in-the-same-house arguments, send them to mobile and console.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change Jump Showdown keybinds?
Yes, in Settings. Defaults on this page match community documentation.
Why does Q sometimes use a skill?
You were too far from a wall for a wall combo, or a skill ate the input. See wall combos.
Is G the same on every character?
The button is. Sub-characters spend it on one attack instead of a full kit. See characters.
