Jump Showdown Wall Combos

Wall combo is four light attacks, then a dash, while the opponent is close to a wall. It is the confirm that makes parry worth learning. This page is the sibling of how to play.

The input

Land a 4-hit M1 string. On hit four, with a wall behind or beside the opponent, press Q (or Dash on mobile). The game should swap into that character’s wall combo instead of a normal dash. Damage differs by kit — Godly Highschooler’s wall add is documented around 6.35%, Unsealed Sorcerer’s around 10%. The point is extra hits and a reset, not a number on a wiki table.

Watch on YouTube

The video is a Skill Builder-flavored wall combo tutorial, which is why commenters argue about “it turned into a move.” In the live roster the same symptom happens when you are too far from a wall or you dash before hit four. Watch the middle of this article, then go to the castle on the map and only then open Skill Builder if you care about custom wall hooks.

When Q is just a dash

  • You dashed on hit 2 or 3.
  • The opponent was not close enough to geometry. Football field is a bad classroom.
  • A skill ate the input because 4 was rebound or you mashed 1–4.
  • You were already in a ragdoll cancel.

Train at the castle, ruins, or station walls — the map lists them. Unsealed Sorcerer and Unhinged Esper carry well. Sub-characters still have wall combos even though their Awakening is a single hit; do not skip the confirm because the tier list marked them “sub.” After a wall combo, you either dash out or spend Awakening. Greed is how you get parried on the way back in.

Frequently asked questions

What is the wall combo input?

Four M1s, then Dash/Q, opponent near a wall.

Why does my wall combo become a skill?

Spacing or a skill input. Get closer to the wall and stop mashing 1–4.

Do all characters have one?

Almost every roster kit does. Check the character page if a kit feels like it does not.
