Jump Showdown World Events
World Events are the portal layer of the map: The Conquered (Mark Grayson riff) and Meaty Michael, plus rotating hazards. They share server time with the Cursed Child boss, so you cannot AFK in the wrong wing and expect both. Pair this page with Culling Games and the events hub.
How portals behave
A World Event announces itself with a map cue — a portal, a meteor, a station event — not a lobby popup. If another boss is already alive, a second one will not stack. Namu Wiki and the Fandom boss page agree on the coarse timer: think tens of minutes, not instant on join. Sit near the relevant zone from the map guide. ESP scripts on the scripts list exist specifically because these cues are easy to miss in a 16-player brawl.
Private servers can host events, but any PS+ command, including something as small as Strike, can freeze boss-style spawns for that session. Rejoin to reset. If your goal is The Conquered, do not warm up with admin toys on the same shard. That warning is the same one on the boss guide because the spawn director is shared.
The Conquered
The Conquered is a World Event character with a conquest kit: empowered melee, portal slash, domination, war cry, and a later ultimate with multiple variants after the Everything Update. Availability is the limiter, not the learning curve. When the portal is up, swap, take fights, and treat it as a time-boxed main. It is not on the published S-tier because the sample is event-only, not because the kit is a joke.
Meaty Michael
Meaty Michael is the heavy World Event body: slower movement, harder hits, reduced knockback. Players notice the passive in clips more than the lore. Use him on open ground (football field) where his lack of dash-game hurts less, and do not take him into a three-person Cursed Child pile unless you like getting blown up by Special Hell.
Weather and other map events
Thunderstorms are the documented weather layer. Lightning is not flavor; it chunks health if you idle in the open. During a storm, drag duels under castle cover or into the forest. The map page marks those roofs. Weather can roll during a World Event. Surviving the sky is part of the event, not an optional filter.
