Jump Showdown Duels
Duels is the Everything Update mode: Casual, Ranked, parties, fill or no-fill, bi-monthly Elo. It is not a second map. It is the same arena with fewer bodies. Ranked picks live on the Duels tier list.
What queues exist
JSD TV #3 and the May 2026 patch notes describe Casual and Ranked versions, 1v1 / 2v2 / 3v3, fill and no-fill, invites, leaderboards, and MVP animations. Seasons reset on a bi-monthly clock. That is why a single bad night is not a character problem. If the mode select is missing, you are on an old client — rejoin from the official experience.
- Casual 1v1 — where you learn parry without Elo.
- Ranked 1v1 no-fill — the exam. Duels ranking.
- 2v2 / 3v3 fill — clutter comes back. Play it like FFA, not like a lab.
What disappears when the field empties
Third parties, random items, and the 17:30 boss timer do not save you. Stall kits look worse. Vector reflection and RCT healing look better. Skill Builder imports do not load. If you queued to practice a Vergil paste, you queued the wrong mode — Skill Builder is private servers only.
Culling Games overlays can still collide with a Duels night depending on the shard. Check the events hub before you burn a ranked ticket on a technique rotation you have never seen. Then go play.
